Breast cancer is the most commonly diagnosed cancer among women in Armenia and worldwide.

Recognizing the importance of preventing the spread of this disease and promoting its early detection, the National Center of Oncology established a dedicated Mammology Department.

Since its establishment, the Department has been equipped with state-of-the-art medical technologies. Its specialists regularly undergo professional training in different countries around the world, bringing leading international practices and treatment approaches to the Center.

Diagnostic Services

The Mammology Department provides the following diagnostic services:

• Breast ultrasonography
• Screening mammography for preventive breast cancer screening
• Three-dimensional digital mammography
• Contrast-enhanced mammography
• Core needle (trephine) and stereotactic breast biopsies

Treatment Services

The Department also provides:

• Consultation with a breast oncologist (mammologist)
• Conservative treatment of benign breast conditions
• Surgical treatment of benign breast lesions
