The Gynecologic Oncology Department provides diagnostic evaluation and treatment for patients from Armenia and abroad with benign, borderline, and malignant tumors of the female reproductive system.

An individualized and evidence-based treatment plan is developed and implemented based on the results of modern diagnostic methods, including colposcopy and cervicoscopy, hysteroscopy, hysterosalpingography, ultrasonography, and laparoscopy, as well as morphological, biochemical, immunological, and hormonal investigations.

The Department performs all major surgical procedures recognized in modern gynecologic oncology practice, including radical surgical treatment of malignant tumors of the cervix, uterine body, and vagina, as well as reconstructive and organ-preserving procedures for benign tumors of the female reproductive organs.

More than 550 surgical procedures are performed annually in the Department, with the majority carried out using laparoscopic techniques.

The Department is equipped with modern medical technologies, including:

• Colposcopy equipment
• Hysteroscopy equipment
• Laser therapy systems for the treatment of various diseases of the external genitalia and cervix

To improve treatment outcomes for patients with gynecologic oncology conditions, the Department develops and implements advanced scientific approaches, including methods aimed at the management of precancerous cervical lesions and the prevention of postoperative complications following treatment of cervical cancer.

The results of scientific research conducted within the Department are presented by its physicians at various scientific conferences and oncology congresses held in Armenia, the South Caucasus, and internationally.

The Department also provides postgraduate training and clinical education for physicians and clinical residents from Armenia and abroad.
